Marathon Eternal X 1.2 Dynamic Range Logs
These are the dynamic range logs for the tracks used in Marathon Eternal X ⟨eternal.bungie.org⟩ 1.2’s soundtrack, in both their original and remastered forms ⟨aaronfreed.github.io/music/eternal1.2ost.html⟩. I originally generated them with the TT Dynamic Range Meter ⟨foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_dr_meter⟩ for foobar2000 ⟨foobar2000.org⟩; I’ve formatted them as HTML tables for improved legibility. This page is on my site because I remastered the soundtrack: I explain my process here ⟨aaronfreed.github.io/remastering.html⟩. One of its results is (in many cases) improved dynamic range (DR), reflected in many tracks’ (and the overall album’s) higher DR scores. On that note, DR, Peak, and RMS (Root Mean Square, the effective average amplitude of the track) are all expressed in decibels (dB).
For dynamic range logs for Eternal X 1.3, whose music I worked on in a much more direct capacity, see here.
