Instructions: Upload a Marathon 1 physics model (its filename should end in .phys
). The text output here will be saved as JSON, which you’ll be able to edit in any editor that can read and write JSON files; if you don’t make any syntax errors, you can then convert it back using this tool’s counterpart.
A huge thanks to @magical_beetle_40501 on Discord for putting this together and releasing the code under the GNU General Public License. I’ve made slight changes to some of the monster names (corrected “hound” to “looker”, added “unused” after “major juggernaut”) and to enable it to run on GitHub’s website (which does not like embedded JavaScript), but it is otherwise unchanged.
I provide this utility in hopes that it will be useful, but with absolutely no warranty – I’m not responsible for damage to your files, computer, hard drive, or marriage that may occur as a result of its use. Please contact me if you have any questions, or see my beginners’ and advanced mapmaking guides if you want to learn more about Marathon mapmaking.
